Brewery Ministries

Beer & Spirituality

Talk about the Bible. At a brewery.

Every Tuesday night, a table in downtown Wichita fills up with believers, skeptics, and people who just like a good story. Pull up a chair.

First time? You don't need to sign up, know anybody, or bring anything. Just show up.

This isn't a sermon, a lecture, or a Bible study you have to prepare for.

It's an open table in a brewery where we dig into one story from the Bible each week — and it feels a lot more like solving a mystery together than sitting in a class.

Our web app provides clues: what the words actually said in the original language, what was happening in the world at the time, what the original audience would have heard. Then we work out the meaning together, out loud, over a pint. Our interactive app keeps the conversation moving, so nobody has to know any Bible knowledge beforehand.

The people around the table don't always agree, and we think that's okay! Some come every Tuesday and want to understand the Bible on a deeper level. Some haven't been to church in years. Some are skeptical of organized religion altogether and just find these stories genuinely interesting. All of that works here.

We'll be straight with you: we're a Christian ministry, and we think these texts are incredible and worth taking seriously. But we trust the story to speak to each of us and let you draw your own conclusions. Ask the hard question. Wrestle honestly with tough concepts. That usually makes for the best night!

What One Regular Says

Evan's story — what it's actually like at the table.

How a Tuesday Goes

Step One

Walk In & Find Us

Park free in the Depot's lot, then check the sign at the hostess stand — it says whether we're upstairs, downstairs, or on the patio that night. Or ask a server for Nathan; they know us and will walk you over.

Step Two

Grab Food & a Drink

Order whatever you want at the table. Ziggy's pizza, appetizers, $3 select craft pints, mixed drinks, soda, and iced tea are all available.

Step Three

Jump Into the Story

We work through one story together with our interactive app. Talk as much or as little as you like — listening is completely fine.

Good to Know

Miss a Week?

No problem — each topic stands on its own, so there's nothing to catch up on. Come whenever you can.

Bring an ID

We're 21+, so bring a valid ID if you plan to enjoy a pint.

Parking

The Depot has a free lot, so you're not feeding a downtown meter or circling the block.

What to Bring

Just yourself. No Bible, no homework, no prep — we provide everything.

Coming Alone?

Most people do the first time. Ask a bartender or server for Nathan — they know us and can point you right to our tables.

Do I Have to Believe Anything?

No. You're not signing up for anything, joining anything, or agreeing to anything by showing up. We respect boundaries, trust that God is speaking to each of us, and let you decide what to believe.
