Brewery Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Wichita, Kansas. This policy explains what we collect on this website, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain English rather than legalese.
If you fill out the reminder form, we collect your first name, email address, and anything you type in the optional question box.
If you create an account in our interactive study library, we collect your name, email address, and the notes and progress you save as you work through a study. See “Study Library Accounts” below.
Like most websites, we also automatically receive standard technical information when you visit — your approximate location (usually city-level), browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived here.
We do not sell your information, and we never will. We don't rent, trade, or share your contact information with other organizations for their own marketing.
We keep these completely separate, and joining one does not put you on the other:
Our lists are managed by AWeber, who store them on our behalf. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes one click and takes effect immediately. You can also just get in touch and ask us to remove you from either list, or both.
Our interactive study library lets you create an account so your notes and progress are saved between visits. Accounts, sign-in, and saved work are handled by Supabase, a hosting provider we use to store that data securely. Sign-in is managed by Supabase, so we never see or store your password.
The notes you write in a study are yours. They're saved so you can come back to them. We don't publish them, share them, sell them, or use them in our teaching, and we're not interested in reading your private reflections. We can see account records in order to run and support the library, and we may look at anonymous, aggregate figures — like how many people finished a particular module — to work out which studies are worth making more of.
You can ask us to delete your account and everything saved in it at any time.
The reminder form is processed by Netlify, which hosts this site. Submissions, including any question you write, are stored there and emailed to us so a real person can respond.
We run ads to invite people in Wichita to our event. To see whether those ads actually work, this site uses:
These services use cookies and similar technologies to recognize repeat visits and to tell us, in aggregate, how many people signed up after seeing an ad. They may also be used to show you our ads again on other sites.
This is the part most privacy policies skip, so we want to be plain about it. When you submit the reminder form, your email address is converted into a scrambled code (a one-way “hash”) in your own browser and sent to Google alongside the signup. Google compares that code against their own records to work out which ad brought you here.
Your actual email address is never sent to Google in readable form, and the scrambled code cannot be reversed back into your address. Google's own terms require us to tell you this is happening — so, we're telling you. You can read Google's description of enhanced conversions if you want the technical detail.
Giving is handled entirely by Tithe.ly, a payment platform built for ministries. Your card details go directly to them and are never seen by, sent to, or stored by Brewery Ministries.
Beer & Spirituality is a 21+ event and this site is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
Questions about any of this, or want your information removed? Send us a message and a real person will get back to you. You can also write to us at Brewery Ministries, PO Box 48422, Wichita, KS 67201.
